Caparzo Sangiovese Toscana
Caparzo Sangiovese Toscana
Coveted Chianti from one of the regions oldest producers
Chanti has become a household name in America but finding one that suits your pallette can be difficult- generally our family divide Chianti's into two categories, ones that are aged in oak and those that are not. Caparzo is our favorite example of unoaked Chianti.
If you’re new to Italian wines, we recommend tasting the Caparzo alongside Sangiovese blend Lamole. Though they are grown in similar regions, these wines have nearly opposite flavors, and we're willing to bet you'll have a blast tasting them side by side.
Caparzo is a producer well known for their excellent and highly premium priced Brunello di Montalcino, one of the truly great Italian wines. This wine is 100% Sangiovese and is cultivated from 3 different tuscan vineyards with diverse climates, including vineyards used for their legendary Brunello and it shows this wine is delicious and Caparzo are masters in perfecting the blend into something beautiful.
Unoaked and bright with notes of cherry and balanced tannins, this wine is a steal for those looking for an everyday Sangiovese.
