Top tier Chianti sans the top tier price, oaky perfection

Like all Chiantis, this wine is composed of primarily Sangiovese, Tuscany's most important and historied grape. That said, its Classico designation means it falls into a more select, higher quality group of Chiantis, produced in an even smaller area of Chianti.

Chiantis can be designated with a more exclusive Classico or Gran Riserva status depending on where and how they are produced. This wine falls into the middle Classico group. This is the category with the most value, in our opinion–you get a higher quality wine without paying a top tier price.

Lamole, one of Tuscany's most legendary producers, have perfected the art of aging Sangiovese in oak barrels. This wine is dense and full bodied with bright cherry flavor and a wonderful tannic and oaky finish. Far and away our favorite oaked Chianti. 

How our family drinks this wine

With marinara pasta, grilled meat, or soup. This wine is excellent with turkey, so it’s the perfect red for your Thanksgiving dinner. Matteo’s favorite Chianti.
