Lini 910 'Labrusca' Rosé
Lini 910 'Labrusca' Rosé
Not your mother’s bubbly rosé
The last thing Matteo, the eldest Randazzo son, wanted to do on a busy Wednesday at Portico was taste Lambrusco, predominantly known in the U.S. as an overly sweet sparkling red wine made famous as cheap bum wine. But he was shocked by this one dry and refreshing and one of the most inspired stories of wine making he’d ever heard.
The Lini Family skips the process that defines overly sweet American Lambruscos for a much crisper and dryer style that takes inspiration from the great champagne houses of France. Lini 910 will not remind you of a fancy French rosé champagne–while it has the dryness of a champagne, it packs the juicy punch they often lack. Dry and tart with tight bubbles, this wine has a subtle sweetness midway between a prosecco and a moscato.
The Lini Family are bringing Lambrusco back fromt he dead and this wine is a masterpiece of this unique italian varietal and the Rose is Lambrusco at it's most fun and modern.
