Franciscan Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
Franciscan Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
Franciscan made its mark on the California wine scene in the 1970s, skyrocketing to popularity in 1975 when the legendary winemaker Justin Meyer from Silver Oak took the helm. As Napa Cabernet prices have soared in recent years, often doubling or tripling, many producers have started blending Napa grapes with those from other California regions to keep costs down. While this blending technique may be new for some, the winemakers at Franciscan have been mastering it since the 1970s, crafting affordable Cabernets that in our opinion rival the Napa offerings.
This wine has rich, decadent notes of plum, blackberry, and cherry—it's deep and lush, just the way we love our California Cabernet.
