Alta Vista Estate Malbec
Alta Vista Estate Malbec
Malbec is a full-bodied wine that originated in France but has become a hall mark grape in Argentinan wine making. Alta Vista, Started by French winemaker and aristocrat Patrick d'Aulan, has become one of the biggest and best wineries in Argentina, bringing classic french wine making techniques by a professional who knows how to make them work. Set in the foothills of the Andes Mountains, Alta Vista's Vineyards have an ideal climate for bordeux style grapes– perfect for Malbec.
Malbecs are known for their dark, inky color and full-bodied nature. This wine is very versatile - wonderful being enjoyed on it's own but can stand up to and enhance food, even heartier meals. With notes of rich fruit like plums and raspberries, it has a touch of oaky richness that makes for a delicious mouthfeel.
Alta Vista Malbec tends toward full-bodied, but we'd consider it more medium-bodied for those that like big wines.
How our family enjoys this wine
This increasingly is our pick when we can't decide what to drink, but the rich berry notes in this wine lend it well to enjoying with roast meats and charred or rotissere chicken.
